OUR STORY

FOR THE CURIOUS CATS

A smiling man in a yellow shirt holds a gray tabby cat, and a smiling woman in a white sweater holds a black and white cat, both in a modern apartment with city views at night.

Hi! We are Ben & Michelle Lioe, founders of Purrs in Paradise.  We are lifelong cat lovers and proud cat parents to our sweet babies, Dozy and Leia.  We were so lucky that we were able to rescue them in 2020 as feral kittens covered in fleas.  It has been the greatest gift to us to give them a home filled with love.  While we were so grateful to give them a better life, we quickly realized how many kitties desperately need help and a loving home, too.  We came up with our dream to open a cat lounge in 2023, and are so excited for it to come to life in 2026.

We are so happy to be at The Camp in Costa Mesa, which has always been one of our favorite places to hang out.  We love visiting cat lounges all over the world, and are striving to create a unique and elevated experience that feels like paradise to both our cats and our cat-loving visitors.

We love living in beautiful Orange County, with Ben being a native and Michelle from Kansas City.  When we are not working or home with our cats, we love traveling, adventure, and festivals! We also try to feed stray cats with some Churu treats wherever we visit :)

We thank you for your support as we bring our dream of Purrs in Paradise to life!

We would love to get to know you too!
